We were very happy with the quality, speed, and dedication!

Metycle’s team worked with Alex and his team for about three months. We made good progress together. They created our logo, defined the look and feel of our visual brand, and designed our website and web application. We were very happy with the quality, speed, and dedication!

Overview

Web Software Branding with personalising approach

Metycle, a Hamburg-based company, approached our design studio with a unique challenge: to revamp their brand, modernize their website, and craft a user-friendly web application for scrap metal trading connecting Europe and Asia. The primary goal was not only to rebrand but also to shift the perception of scrap metal from the traditional 'dirty and brown' image to one that's fresh and environmentally conscious.

The Challenge

Collecting and repurposing materials to create a greener future

Traditionally, scrap metal has been associated with a less-than-appealing image, characterized by dull, earthy tones. Our challenge was transforming this perception and creating a visual identity that echoed freshness and environmental responsibility while maintaining a professional trustworthy image.

Website section titled 'Our team' featuring portraits and bios of Rafael Suchan and Sebastian Brenner, co-founders and managing directors, alongside text about metal recycling's global impact and cultural heritage preservation, and a call to action to make a positive impact through metal recycling with buttons to get a quote or register.

Our Process

Our journey with Metycle commenced with an in-depth exploration of their vision and objectives. We began by creating a moodboard, which laid the foundation for our visual direction. This initial phase fostered rapid agreement between our teams on the project's creative direction.
Within just three weeks, our team unveiled a complete website design that integrated the new brand identity. Work on the logo redesign was executed in parallel. The culmination of our efforts was a comprehensive Visual Brand Kit, which served as a consistent guide for all visual elements across various platforms.
The next part was to conceptualize user journeys, refine the user experience and create a modern UI for the web application.
